Role Overview: The Assistant Manager/ Manager- Learner Success will play a pivotal role in monitoring and enhancing students’ academic participation, engagement and progression. This role is centred around tracking academic metrics (attendance, video-watch, quiz/assignment/exam completion), identifying early warning signs of risk, coordinating interventions with academic and operational teams, and ensuring our learners persist, succeed and remain satisfied with the programme experience.

Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Academic Participation Monitoring & Intervention

• Monitor key academic participation indicators such as live class attendance, video watch time,

quiz/assignment completion and exam participation across programmes.

• Establish thresholds / triggers to identify learners at-risk (low engagement, delayed submissions,

declining performance).

• Coordinate with TAs, faculty, and programme leads to plan and deliver timely interventions (e.g.,

remedial tutorials, peer-study groups, one-to-one coaching) for identified students.

• Maintain dashboards and reports that provide timely visibility on student academic participation and flag risk cohorts.

Learner Support & Engagement

• Collaborate with the Learner Experience & Success team to coordinate support for learners:

academic counselling, study-skills sessions, peer mentoring, and motivational initiatives.

• Work alongside communications teams to ensure targeted outreach (via LMS, email, WhatsApp) to specific learner segments (e.g., first-time online learners, low-engagement groups).

• Assist in designing co-curricular and extra-curricular academic-support activities (study circles, mock exams, revision workshops) to strengthen learner participation and sense of belonging.

Teaching Assistant & Faculty Collaboration

• Liaise with TAs and Faculty to track academic progress (average class scores, submission delays,

dropout trends).

• Monitor TA engagement and responsiveness, and feedback from learners on TA/faculty experience.

• Work with academic leads to identify patterns (e.g., large drops in quiz completion) and propose

corrective enhancements in delivery or learner support.

Feedback, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

• Work on feedback mechanisms tied to academic participation—e.g., surveys post-tutorials, mid-

term check-ins—to assess learner experience of academic support.

• Analyse data trends (engagement vs performance vs retention) and derive actionable insights.

• Prepare regular reports for senior leadership highlighting participation metrics, at-risk segments,

intervention outcomes and recommendations for improvement.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Develop and maintain dashboards/scorecards for academic participation, engagement and

progression metrics; escalate major risks and propose mitigation plans.

• Present findings in leadership meetings, working closely with programme leads, analytics, operations and learner experience teams.

• Serve as the academic success liaison across functions: academic delivery, operations, analytics,

learner communications.

Skill and Ability Requirements

• Strong analytical orientation: ability to interpret academic participation data, identify patterns and

propose actionable strategies.

• High proficiency with LMS platforms, student engagement tools, analytics dashboards and basic

reporting tools like MS Excel / Power BI / Tableau). Exposure to tools like Canva, Adobe Express,

Pixlr etc is desirable.

• Excellent written & spoken English communication as well as collaboration skills: able to coordinate across academic, operations, learner-experience teams and influence stakeholders.

• Programme management mindset: comfortable owning monitoring frameworks, dashboards,

intervention workflows, managing process ambiguity with short-term and long-term interventions,

and continuous improvement cycles.

• Learner-centric attitude: strong empathy, commitment to student success and should be emotionally intelligent as well as resilient in understanding behavioural patterns & challenges to design support mechanisms tailored to diverse online learners.

• Stakeholder-engagement capability: working with faculty, TAs, operations, analytics and learners to drive shared academic goals.

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate / Post graduate in any stream. MBA is desirable.

• 7-10 years of overall experience with preferably 4-5 years of experience in EdTech or Online

Education Operations.

• Proven track record in monitoring and improving student participation, retention or academic

engagement in an online or blended learning context.

• Experience working with academic delivery teams, tracking student performance and driving

intervention workflows is preferred.
