Role Summary
Larsen & Toubro Limited is seeking an experienced NDT professional for the role of Assistant Manager – NDT at its Hazira facility. The position involves execution and coordination of Non Destructive Examination activities for pressure vessels and critical components, with a strong focus on Ultrasonic Testing and advanced UT techniques.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform Ultrasonic Testing of welds for pressure vessels and other critical components
• Execute Phased Array UT and Internal Rotary Inspection
• Review and support Radiographic Testing including film and technique review
• Prepare inspection reports procedures technique sheets and calibration block drawings
• Plan and coordinate overall NDE activities for assigned projects
• Ensure compliance with ASME codes standards and customer specifications
• Coordinate with customers third party inspectors and internal stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience
• B Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with relevant NDT experience may be considered
• 4 to 6 years of hands on experience in NDT
• UT and RT Level II certification is mandatory
• Strong exposure to pressure vessel manufacturing and inspection
Preferred Skills
• Experience in Phased Array UT and Internal Rotary Inspection
• Knowledge of TOFD
• NDT Level III certification
