Are you a privacy professional with solid experience in global privacy regulations and hands-on execution of privacy programs?

Tsaaro is looking for an Assistant Manager – Privacy to join our Bangalore team and support high-impact privacy engagements for enterprise clients.

About the Role: Assistant Manager – Privacy

As an Assistant Manager – Privacy, you will support and execute privacy compliance programs, work closely with client stakeholders, and assist in delivering advisory and implementation projects across global privacy regulations. You will also mentor junior team members and ensure quality delivery across engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and execute privacy assessments including DPIAs, PIAs, RoPA, privacy gap assessments, and internal audits

  • Assist in implementing and operationalizing privacy frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, DPDP Act, PDPL , and related regulations

  • Draft, review, and update privacy policies, procedures, notices, and governance documentation

  • Support incident response activities , breach readiness, remediation planning, and reporting

  • Assist in implementation of ISO 27701, ISO 27001 controls , and Privacy by Design practices

  • Conduct third-party risk assessments and vendor privacy evaluations

  • Work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders across security, legal, IT, and compliance.

  • Track project deliverables, timelines, and reporting for privacy engagements

  • Mentor and guide junior consultants and analysts on privacy execution activities.


Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in Privacy, Data Protection, GRC, or Cybersecurity roles

  • Strong working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, DPDP Act, PDPL , and global privacy principles

  • Hands-on experience with DPIAs, RoPA, privacy audits, incident management, and DSAR handling

  • Basic to intermediate understanding of ISO 27001, ISO 27701, NIST, SOC 2

  • Experience with privacy tools such as OneTrust, Securiti.ai, BigID is an advantage

  • Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, ISO 27001 LA/LI are preferred

  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage client interactions effectively

  • Detail-oriented, execution-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities
