Job Description
This is a full-time position that will report to Manager of Taxation. The position will perform a full
range of federal, state, and international tax functions including tax provision, compliance, sales & use
and property tax.
Core Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of the U.S. federal and state/local income and franchise tax returns, extensions, and estimates and process related tax payments. Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of U.S. tax forms relating to international entities including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865 and 926. Participate in the year-end provision process, including review of international tax provision reporting packages and performing US tax provision tasks. Assist in maintaining and reconciling tax fixed assets and depreciation Assist in researching routine tax issues Respond to notices from tax authorities Assist with tax audits Prepare monthly sales and use tax returns and business license returns Prepare personal property tax returnsCritical Competencies:
Technical/Functional Expertise: Demonstrating basic technical knowledge of federal and state tax rules with a general understanding of financial accounting. Dependability/Reliability: Following through on commitments, producing timely work to required –or higher – standards and pitching-in to get the job done. Planning/Organization: Prioritizing and managing tasks to meet deadlines; managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. Teamwork: Working effectively with others and sharing information and resources. Communication: Utilizing effective verbal and written communication skills.Qualifications
6-9 years of corporate tax experience with public accounting firm and/or multistate company, including specific experience preparing U.S. federal and state/local income tax returns.CPA license preferred. Proficiency with tax return preparation, tax provision, and fixed asset systems (OneSource and Sage Fixed Assets preferred).Proficiency with data manipulation tools (Microsoft Excel required).Proficiency with online tax research tools.
