Assistant Professor, Education

RESPONSIBILITIES

: Candidates will be expected to teach a variety of education courses related to classroom management, assessment, differentiation, literacy. Candidates must be willing to oversee course embedded field experiences and university supervision of student teachers. They will also be expected to provide service to the department, college, and university, including serving and/or chairing Ed.D. dissertation committees. Candidates must collaborate with schools and communities within MSU’s service region.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must hold a PhD or EdD in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related general education field to be considered eligible for the position. ABD candidates may be considered with degree in hand prior to employment. Candidates must have a minimum of three years teaching experience in an elementary, middle, or secondary public-school classroom.
