Required Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in music performance or pedagogy or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation.
  • Demonstrated evidence of successful studio teaching experience.
  • Experience as a successful solo, chamber, and/or orchestral performer.
  • ABD will be considered if degree is conferred by August 7, 2026. If successful candidate is ABD, appointment will be made at a Lecturer level on a fixed contract.

    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of successful college/university teaching.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in student recruitment
  • Proven track record of recruitment and student success.
  • Proven record of active participation in pedagogical associations.
  • Experience coaching chamber music and string sectionals in a symphony.
