Job Description

This position is focused on traffic engineering including modeling, safety and operational studies, and technical report writing under direct supervision of the Traffic Engineer, with involvement in all aspects of Engineering Department tasks. Educational and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field preferred; Transportation/Traffic interest/focus. Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Project management and organizational skills, communication and teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking. General computer literacy including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Road Conductor / AASHTOware, and an aptitude for learning new software. Traffic modeling software (Synchro/SimTraffic, Highway Capacity Software, VISSIM) experience desired. Knowledge of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices desired.
