Position Summary

The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the success of Brasserie 1930. You will oversee all aspects of the restaurant’s breakfast and lunch operations, lead and develop the team, and ensure the delivery of exceptional guest service.

 

The Role

  • Provides inspirational leadership, clear vision and direction to team members to ensure delivery of the Capella brand, values and vision, to create an amazing experience for our guests and team members.
  • Communicates expectations, recognizes performance, and produces consistent desired business results.
  • Assists to oversees and manages the daily operations of the venue and ensures that all team members comply with service standards, departmental policies and operating procedures.
  • Conducts theoretical, formal and practical (on the job) training for all operational team members.
  • Empower team members to take ownership and responsibility in going beyond to exceed guest expectations. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
  • Monitor performances team members and provide effective performance feedback for improvements, recognition and performance appraisal as due.
  • Mentor and guide individual team members' growth and identify short to long-term goals to achieve and ensure high colleague engagement and welfare.
  • Assist with management of payroll and adheres to budgets allocated.
  • Lead the line-up briefings and monthly meetings within the team.

 

Talent Profile

  • 2 - 3 years prior experience in a similar role/capacity. 
  • A passion for the hospitality industry and a strong desire to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Working knowledge of restaurant management systems (e.g. POS, Seven Rooms, Purchasing System).
  • Competent computing skills.
  • Excellent communicator with a personable character and a passion in guest relations management. 
  • Valid working rights in Australia.
  • Available to work on a rotating roster (early mornings, weekends, and public holidays) across a 7-day operation.
  • Wine knowledge preferred.
