Job Title: Assistant Sales Manager – Freight Forwarding
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
Experience Required: 3-8 years in Freight Forwarding / Logistics Sales

We are expanding our team in Mumbai and seeking a motivated and experienced professional to drive sales and build long-term client relationships.
Role Summary:
The Assistant Sales Manager will support business development activities and client acquisition in the freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of logistics services, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to contribute to the company's growth in the Mumbai market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new business opportunities in air, sea, and road freight services
- Build and maintain strong relationships with importers, exporters, and key clients
- Identify client requirements and propose customized logistics solutions
- Work closely with operations and pricing teams to deliver competitive and accurate proposals
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as per the company’s growth plan
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis
- Stay updated with freight market trends, competitors, and pricing strategies
- Represent the company in client meetings, trade shows, and industry events
Candidate Requirements:
- Graduate in any stream (BBA/MBA preferred)
- 3–8 years of experience in sales within the freight forwarding/logistics industry
- Strong understanding of international logistics, INCOTERMS, and documentation
- Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and manage accounts
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-handling skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong local network in the Pune logistics and shipping ecosystem is a plus
