A beautiful, independent, non-profit International school in Germany, are seeking a dedicated Assistant Primary School Principal, to be the school's Hort Manager, to lead their primary after-school care programme (grades 1-5).

This role involves overseeing the daily running of the school’s after-school care provision, ensuring that students are supported in their social, emotional and personal development. You will be a part of the management team, leading 15 staff members, coordinating engaging activities and working closely with teachers and parents, to provide high-quality childcare and enrichment.

A very exciting opportunity for someone with strong primary leadership experience, who is looking to make a tangible impact on the whole school community. This position combines educational leadership, pastoral care and creative programme development in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the Hort programme.
• Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate activities and projects.
• Ensure a caring, inclusive and stimulating environment for all children.
• Supervise and support a team of Hort educators and assistants.
• Collaborate with the school leadership to align after-school care with school’s ethos and curriculum.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
• Oversee scheduling, attendance, and administrative documentation.

School first opened back in 1992 and has grown and developed significantly over the years, catering for students from Nursery all the way through to Grade 12. With 200 staff members and students from over 70 different countries, it is a true international school, with a hugely supportive network and team.

They support the personal, social, academic, physical and emotional development of each individual student, whilst following the Middle School Programme in lower secondary and the iGCSE and IB Curriculum in upper secondary, to ensure delivery of a clear and consistent curriculum.

Requirements:
• Relevant qualification in education, social pedagogy or childcare.
• Proven experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a leadership or coordination role.
