About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Storekeeper to support our Material Management Department. This role involves assisting with inventory management, receiving and issuing materials, and maintaining an organized storeroom. The Assistant Storekeeper will be shared between two power plants to cover absentees of the Storekeeper.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Assist in receiving, storing, and issuing spare parts, tools, and materials.
✅ Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock control.
✅ Support in labeling and organizing items according to company procedures.
✅ Conduct routine stock counts and report discrepancies.
✅ Inspect deliveries for damages or missing items and report findings.
✅ Ensure the storeroom is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
✅ Travel between two power plants to provide coverage when required.
✅ Assist in preparing reports, purchase requisitions, and delivery notes.
✅ Follow safety procedures and wear PPE as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 Education: Diploma or Technical degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
🔹 Experience: 1-3 years in storekeeping, warehousing, or logistics.
🔹 Skills:
✔️ Good organizational and inventory management skills.
✔️ Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
✔️ Ability to work independently and under supervision.
✔️ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
✔️ Flexibility to travel between two power plant locations.
