YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

:

Reporting to the Energy & Infrastructure Superintendent, you will be part of the Energy and Infrastructure Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the Environment.

  • Assist and support the superintendent in the follow-up of all departmental activities under your responsibility (electrical (surface and underground), instrumentation, power plant, building maintenance, surface operations, camp, kitchen, housekeeping services, and MOC projects).

  • Supporting the establishment of a facilitative work environment;

  • Supporting the ongoing empowerment and development of the entire team;

  • Promote the mission and vision of the department and the company;

  • Ensure best practices and quality control management.

    • WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Technical background in Electrical, Mechanical or relevant field;

  • 5 years of experience as a General Supervisor/General Foreman position or 10 + years of experience managing a large team;

  • Experience with budgets;

  • Experience managing remote camp/kitchen activities is considered an asset;

  • Experience supervising trade and/or operational teams in a mining environment;

  • Previous training and coaching experience is considered an asset;

  • Cultural awareness and understanding of work in the Canadian Arctic is considered an asset.

    • Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.
