We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President – Learning and Development
Purpose of the role:
- The role holder is responsible for supporting either the Director - L&D Programmes or L&D program Specialist to manage a portfolio of learning and development solutions.
- Support in developing the core design and outcomes for HSBC learning products, talent programmes, career development tools and propositions.
- Leads on execution planning of enterprise-wide solutions through participation in RFP discussions, Vendor relationship management and Lead on working groups on projects where needed.
- Collate data, reports etc. and provides insights, and reports across a varied set of stakeholders /Business/Functions
- Provides support on Governance and risk mitigation of projects.
In this role, you will:
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)
- Provide guidance and support the team in helping prioritise the development of new solutions.
- Responsible to ensure core development offering for employees remains relevant and up to date.
- Provide guidance and support the design of curriculum and structured programmes, working with third party vendors, global and regional teams. Along with outcome measurement for learning delivery (including course evaluation) and impact, driving the collection of data to demonstrate execution and business value (i.e. ROI)
- Oversee the local testing, customisation and execution of the learning and talent curricula and programmes globally, ensuring adherence to policy, standards and execution principles.
- Define execution requirements, communicating these to Heads of People Capability and Regional teams. Provide guidance and support in preparation of papers on behalf of the Group Head of People Capability to drive the capability agenda.
- Collaborate with relevant vendors, regional/local stakeholders to execute global programmes / support deployment. Oversee and monitor external vendor delivery quality and manage any issues through appropriate vendor governance channels (i.e. DSO Function).
- Act as a role model for HSBC’s values embedding the values in day-to-day behaviours and decision-making and represent the team when required and lead committees and forums on request
- Responsible to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements, monitoring audit and risk management reports and initiating corrective actions where necessary.

To be successful you will:
- Experience of project management and coordinating delivery through others.
- Experience of working in a large matrix organization, ideally international.
- Demonstrates awareness of other HR disciplines e.g. hiring, talent, performance management, diversity & inclusion and reward, and how they interplay with learning solutions.
