Scientific context:

The team's research activities have historically focused on the processing, analysis, and transmission of multimedia content, with a particular emphasis on visual signal coding, compression architectures, multimedia communication systems, and their applications.

The MM team's interest in these issues can be illustrated through several non-exhaustive application areas.
