The Assistive Technologist, Office of Disability Services supports accessibility, equity, and student success by providing expertise in assistive technologies, software and hardware. This position works collaboratively to ensure that students with disabilities and diverse learning needs can fully participate in academic and co-curricular opportunities at the college.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technology Assessment and Implementation:

  • Conduct individualized assessments of student technology needs based on accommodation plans and assistive technology referrals.
  • Operates computers and utilizes computer operating systems, word processing, spreadsheet, database, networking, utilities, Internet, e-mail, or other software programs.
  • Recommend, install, and configure assistive technology (e.g., screen readers, speech-to-text, magnification tools, alternative input devices).
