Job Description

We are seeking for a skilled Substation Project Engineer with expertise in Substation Automation Systems (SAS), RDSS, and ADMS for Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects. The role involves substation integration, protection system design, testing & commissioning, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Candidates must have experience with 220KV protection schemes, relay panel drawings, RTU (Remote Terminal Units) configuration & integration, communication protocols (MODBUS, IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 61850), SCADA/PLC systems, and multi-vendor IED integration. Strong cross-functional collaboration and customer engagement are key to success in this role.

  • Lead RDSS & ADMS projects, ensuring seamless substation automation and compliance.
  • Design & review cable scheduling, relay panel drawings, and 220KV protection schemes.
  • Configure, integrate, and test RTUs, BCUs, RMUs, relays, and automation gateways.
  • Perform FAT, SAT, and commissioning of substation equipment and troubleshoot communication issues.
  • Develop electrical schematics, SLDs, BOQ, and panel layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Optimize SCADA/PLC systems, configure front-end servers, and ensure real-time data exchange.
  • Manage multi-vendor IED integration and database modifications for projects.
  • Prepare commissioning procedures, method statements, and workforce training.
  • Ensure compliance with energy management strategies (EMS, load shedding) and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical presentations & customer training.
