About the department
The GSC&BD GBS unit is in Bengaluru, India, with our headquarters in Denmark. We are focused on consolidating supply chain activities and driving performance improvement. As part of the Global Operational Planning team, our role involves continuous improvement of our operational planning processes and systems to ensure a balanced supply plan on a global scale. The atmosphere is dynamic and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
The position
As an Associate Business Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient supply chain operations. Your responsibilities will include:
GBS Responsibility :
Support and monitor daily planning activities and KPIs in GBS. Support SCI in offshored planning processes. Production and Purchase Planning Responsibility :
Create and maintain production and purchase plans. Maintain planning-relevant Master Data and evaluate its quality. Perform planning performance reporting and evaluate transactional data quality. Main Job Tasks :
Handle orders from affiliates/regional offices, ensuring feasibility and alignment with production and purchase plans. Create sequenced and levelled production plans, convert planned orders to process orders, and communicate production plans to the site. Maintain and evaluate planning-relevant Master Data and engage with stakeholders to ensure data quality. Support onshore teams with planning reports, ad hoc analysis, and process documentation. Log root causes for deviations, investigate preventive actions, and continuously improve processes. Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
Masters/Bachelors within supply chain management, production or mechanical (or equivalent) from a well-recognised institute Planning & Support Expertise : 4–6 years of experience in planning and support functions, including managing offshored planning processes. Production & Procurement Knowledge : Solid understanding of production planning and purchase processes within supply chain operations. Data Analysis & Process Management : Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and process data to drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making. Supply Chain Concepts & Tools : Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes—Plan, Make, Source, Deliver, Return—and supporting master data. Technical Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with hands-on experience in SAP ECC/R3; familiarity with OMP is an added advantage.
