Associate Director

Opportunity to:

• Lead and manage a cross-functional team of data scientists, consultants, and analysts on production-level data science projects.
• Drive end-to-end delivery operations, including planning, execution, quality assurance, and deployment.
• Partner with business stakeholders in the Retail sector to translate requirements into actionable data science solutions.
• Ensure scalability, robustness, and efficiency in production deployments of machine learning and analytical models.
• Implement governance frameworks, best practices, and continuous improvement for Data Science Operations (DS Ops).
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering technical growth and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to align data science capabilities with business strategy.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Proven track record in Data Science Operations and leading large-scale production projects.
• Strong experience in managing teams of data scientists and consultants.
• Excellent stakeholder management, project governance, and cross-team collaboration skills.

Good To Have

• Strong background in Retail domain use cases:
• Pricing optimization
• Promotions effectiveness
• Recommendation systems
• Hands-on exposure to Python and PySpark.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and ML model deployment.

Qualifications & Experience:

12+ years of total experience with at least 5+ years in Data Science Operations leadership.

Master’s/PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Prior experience in Retail/CPG domains highly desirable.
