As an Associate Director within the Corporate Finance team, you will play a key role in originating, advising, and executing transactions across the financial services sector. This position involves end-to-end deal execution, client relationship management, and leadership of high-performing teams to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes and exceed client expectations.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of corporate finance transactions, including M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements.
- Build, manage, and strengthen long-term client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery across all engagements.
- Generate ideas, identify leads, and support business development initiatives across banking, NBFCs, insurance, asset management, fintech, and other financial services sub-sectors.
- Support sector coverage by tracking industry trends, financial products, valuations, and key benchmarks, and contribute to thought leadership initiatives.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency of all client deliverables, maintaining high standards of presentation, analysis, and risk management.
- Guide, mentor, and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture focused on execution excellence and deal closure.
- Drive transaction momentum and demonstrate strong ownership to ensure timely project and deal closures.
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while aligning delivery with strategic and commercial objectives.
Desired Qualifications
- CA qualified or MBA from a reputed institution (CFA and/or premier university background preferred).
- 8–11 years of relevant experience in investment banking, equity research, private equity, or corporate finance, with a strong focus on the financial services sector.
- Deep understanding of financial services companies, transactions, key operating metrics, and industry benchmarks.
- Strong academic credentials and a proven track record of performance.
- Excellent report writing and review skills with high attention to detail, clarity, and risk awareness.
- Advanced Excel proficiency with the ability to quickly and accurately analyze and manipulate large datasets.
- Strong financial modeling expertise with the ability to independently build, own, and manage models throughout the transaction lifecycle.
