The opportunity

Lead and oversee treasury operations for both LATAM and Mexico, ensuring optimal liquidity, robust cash forecasting, and alignment with both regional and local finance organizations. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Regional Finance LATAM Commercial, and functionally to the International Markets Treasury Director. It will supervise local country treasurers and ensure consistent execution of treasury policies across the region. Proven track record in managing treasury operations both in Mexico and other LATAM countries, preferably within multinational corporations reporting to global or regional headquarters. Lead and coach a distributed team of country‑level treasury professionals, fostering collaboration, capability building, and standardized processes across LATAM.

How You’ll Spend Your Day
  • Governance and execution of the LATAM cash forecasting process, partnering with FP&A and country finance to analyze variances and drive accuracy improvements.
  • Optimize liquidity, working capital, and intercompany funding structures across the region, ensuring alignment with corporate policies.
  • Support FX exposure monitoring, interest rate risk management and coordination with Global Treasury on hedge execution and reporting.
  • Lead bank account rationalization, banking relationship management, and implementation of digital treasury tools (TMS, ACM, SAP connectivity, payment factory).
  • Support working capital programs (SCF, AR risk, inventory financing) in collaboration with Commercial Finance and Procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, sanctions, and regulatory requirements; lead audits and maintain robust documentation.
  • Monitor and report regional treasury KPIs, providing insight to senior management on liquidity, cash variances, and risk metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, process redesign, and adoption of analytics and BI tools.
  • Drive cash collection, payments, and working capital optimization initiatives (DSO, DPO, DOH) in partnership with Finance, AR, AP and Procurement teams. Experience in managing Supply Finance programs, including coordination with banking partners and evaluation of early payment discount schemes or financing instruments for suppliers (e.g. Factoring).
Requirements

Your experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of corporate treasury experience in multinational environments, ideally covering LATAM markets.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese preferred.
  • Strong analytical, hands‑on leadership, and communication skills; proven ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience in cash forecasting, FX management, and working capital optimization.
  • Knowledge of treasury systems (TMS), SAP, and data visualization tools (Power BI).
Competences Financial
  • Knowledge of applicable local and international financial regulations in LATAM
  • SOX controls and treasury governance best practices
  • Functional knowledge of financial accounting applied to treasury (IAS/IFRS) and its impact on reporting.
Technical
  • Analytical capability and advanced proficiency with tools (TMS, SAP, Excel/Power Query/Power Pivot).
