Associate Engineer (P1) – Mechanical Engineer
Basic Qualification
Bachelor / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. 1 to 2 years of experience in design & development of mechanical / electromechanical systems & components preferably in aerospace domain. Skills:
Experience in the design of structures, mechanisms, tools, jigs, and fixtures. Proficient in designing metallic, thermoset, and thermoplastic components, with knowledge of relevant manufacturing and joining processes - preferably within the aerospace domain. Strong understanding of solid mechanics, including analysis of loading conditions and failure mechanisms. Hands-on experience with GD&T principles and conducting tolerance stack-up analyses. Knowledgeable in aerospace materials (metals, polymers, composites) and appropriate hardware selection. Skilled in Siemens NX Software, including solid, sheet metal, and surface modeling. Experience working with Teamcenter Engineering; familiarity with additional PLM/PDM systems is an advantage. Capable of developing detailed engineering drawings for components and assemblies in compliance with ASME standards. Preferred working knowledge of aerospace mechanical/electromechanical systems, component testing, certification, and qualification processes. Ability to take ownership and manage projects with minimal supervision. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and coordination skills with both local and global teams. Primary Responsibilities:
Interpret design requirements and deliver effective design solutions by applying appropriate methodologies and engineering principles. Develop design concepts and create detailed CAD models. Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including engineering drawings and technical reports. Selection of suitable materials, standard components, and manufacturing processes. Execute engineering change requests and ensure timely implementation. Perform tolerance stack-up analyses and apply GD&T principles to design outputs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain clear, consistent project communication. Coordinate with global teams to ensure seamless project execution and alignment.
