Role Overview:
This position will support the test effort for development of multiple ground-based mission systems and operations center from program inception to test verification and deployment. The Lead Integration & Test Engineer will define complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities while working with a team comprised of multiple internal organizations and subcontractors for the full integration and test of the mission system. The test engineer will be a point-of-contact for the government customer for test planning and will coordinate across government and stakeholder offices to define the test and evaluation plan.
Essential Functions:
Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on system requirements.
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution.
Perform manual and automated testing to ensure software performance meets the high standards required.
Collaborate with system engineers and software developers to identify system requirements and resolve issues.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
Analyze test results, detect issues, and track root causes in collaboration with the development team.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Active Secret security clearance to start with ability obtain a Top Secret Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
Excellent organization skills.
Effective communication skills in a collaborative team environment.
Proficient in Linux and/or Unix operating systems
Familiarity with Boundary Scan/LabVIEW/MATLAB/other tools for instrument control.
Proficient at JIRA/Confluence (or equivalent)
Experience in Agile & DevOps methodology and culture
Software Integration testing
Platform/CLOUD familiarity/integration and testing
Payload Platform integration testing (HW to SW) for end-to-end command and control of payload
