Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking an Associate Lawyer to join its Corporate Department. The firm offers a collegial, team-focused environment with an emphasis on quality legal work and work/life balance. The office is located near a scenic waterfront community in Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and reviewing corporate documents such as share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, shareholders' agreements, and commercial contracts
  • Handling incorporations, reorganizations, amalgamations, and corporate governance matters
  • Conducting legal research and due diligence
  • Meeting with clients and communicating with lawyers and support staff, both internal and external

Qualifications

  • LL.B or JD and member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
  • 3-5 years of law firm experience practicing corporate law
