Job Description
Associate Product Manager – QIS & Field Systems:
We are looking to hire a full-time Product Manager to own Indofast’s QIS ( Quick Interchange Station) platform—spanning software, firmware, and on-ground operational workflows.
This role sits at the intersection of hardware, software, and blue-collar execution. You will be responsible for translating messy real-world operations into reliable systems that scale—used daily by technicians, franchise partners, ops teams, and leadership.
You will work closely with Operations, Strategy, Hardware/Firmware, and SMPL Engineering teams to build products that are robust in the field, intuitive for frontline workers, and trustworthy for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle of QIS—from problem discovery and requirement definition to delivery, adoption, and iteration
• Deeply understand on-ground workflows involving blue-collar technicians, supervisors, and franchise operators; design systems that work under real constraints
• Define and maintain clear product requirements (PRDs) across software, firmware, and hardware touchpoints
• Partner closely with Firmware and Hardware teams to ensure software decisions align with device capabilities and field realities
• Work with internal Software team to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable systems
• Act as the single-threaded owner for QIS roadmap, prioritization, and trade-offs
• Drive adoption by working with Ops and Training teams
• Identify systemic failure points and drive structural fixes
• Treat internal tools as products, not internal projects
Must-Haves
• Strong product sense and problem decomposition ability
• Experience with hardware, firmware, Io T, or operational platforms
• Comfort engaging with blue-collar or frontline users
• Cross-functional collaboration skills without relying on authority
• High ownership mindset
• Bias for action with sound judgment
• Comfort operating in ambiguity
Good-to-Haves
• Exposure to EV infrastructure or energy platforms
• Experience with offline-first or constrained-device systems
• Familiarity with telemetry or operational dashboards
• Experience in fast-scaling or infra-heavy startups
• Interest in sustainability and India-scale systems
