Associate System Support Engineer

Location-Pune

Required Skills and Experience:

• 1-3 years of Network experience.
• Understanding of VLANs, MAC address table, and Spanning tree, DNS, NAT, DHCP.
• Understanding of Desktop related issues, RDP, Operation systems.
• Basis troubleshooting skills on desktops and serves.
• Working knowledge of Internet, MPLS, IPSEC, and VPN.
• Knowledge of OSI Reference Model and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of IP Addressing, Subnetting and Creation of scalable VLSM Networks.
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as NAT, ACLs, DHCP, DNS etc.
• Should be worked on any of the monitoring tools like Solarwinds, Spectrum, Cacti, NMS etc.
• Firewall knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of people such as peers, managers, customers, and vendors via phone or email.
• Understanding of Incidents and Service request.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor infrastructure remotely.
• Ensure that the assigned infrastructure at the client is configured, installed, tested and operational.
• Investigate first line support calls.
• Report and escalate issues to 3rd party vendors if necessary.
• Verify and troubleshoot a switch with VLANs and Interswitch communications.
• Verify and do L1 level troubleshooting for WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi related issues.
• Creation of daily, weekly and monthly reports based on network standards.
• 24*7 support and ready to work in rotational shifts.
• Need to work on Incident, Service request and change.
• On-Call after office hours support for priority cases.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an associated discipline with 2 to 3 years" experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of Degree.
• Strong consulting and communication skills. Ability to communicate well with internal and external customers.
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP training/Certification will preferable.
