Associate | Taxation (2-3 years PQE)

Metalegal Advocates is seeking experienced Chartered Accountants and Advocates (2-3 years PQE) to strengthen its Tax Litigation & Advisory vertical. The role involves independent handling of matters with strategic exposure to complex disputes and high-value advisory assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling Income Tax and GST litigation matters, including assessments, appeals, and departmental proceedings

• Drafting appeals, replies, submissions, legal opinions, advisory notes, and representations

• Managing client communications and coordination with tax authorities and tribunals

• Supporting investigations, audits, and regulatory proceedings

• Supervising junior team members and managing case documentation workflows

• Contributing to knowledge initiatives, internal research, and precedent databases

Requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or a qualified Advocate (LL.B.), enrolled with the Bar Council of India

• 2-3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in tax litigation/advisory

• Strong working knowledge of Income Tax Act and GST laws
