Role and responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager / Associate Technical Manager to lead and oversee the technical execution of multiple game development projects. The role combines technical ownership, team leadership, and client collaboration, ensuring high-quality delivery, scalability, and innovation. You will guide architecture, mentor developers, validate estimations, and actively contribute to the organization’s growth by driving innovation, promoting reusability, and engaging in pre-sales activities.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Mentorship:

Lead, mentor, and manage Unity and Unreal developers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Conduct technical training, code reviews, and onboarding programs to strengthen capabilities.

Support senior engineers in developing leadership skills and ownership.

Project Oversight & Delivery:

Oversee technical design, development, and delivery of 4+ concurrent projects.

Ensure adherence to coding standards, architecture principles, and best practices.

Validate project estimations, milestone sequencing, and change requests for accuracy and feasibility.

Identify and mitigate technical risks early, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Code Quality & Architecture:

Conduct in-depth code reviews and enforce architectural consistency.

Resolve high-level technical issues and make final trade-off decisions.

Innovation & Process Improvement:

Drive reusability by creating and integrating reusable modules, plugins, and frameworks.

Evaluate and adopt emerging tools and technologies (including AI/ML) to enhance efficiency.

Continuously improve workflows, documentation, and standards for scalability.

Client & Business Engagement:

Partner with business development for pre-sales activities, providing estimations and solution inputs.

Join client calls to clarify requirements, review estimates, and address technical concerns.

Conduct technical demonstrations and evaluate test projects for potential conversion.

Strategic Contribution:

Shape technology roadmaps and support expansion into new service areas.

Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor practices, and gaming technology advancements.


Requirements:

· Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

· 7+ years of experience in game development with at least 4 years in leadership/management .

· Delivered 10+ successful projects across mobile, PC, console, or VR/AR.

· Strong expertise in Unity (C#) and working knowledge of Unreal Engine (C++/Blueprints) .

· Experience with multiplayer games (turn-based & real-time), networking, and client-server systems.

· Skilled in performance optimization, debugging, and profiling .

· Proficiency with version control (Git/Perforce) and project management tools (Jira, Trello).

· Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
