About the role:
The TechOps team is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the infrastructure that powers ValueFirst services. The team keeps a close eye on the availability, performance, and reliability of all production systems.Operating on a 24/7 basis, the team provides Level-2 technical support, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of issues and customer-reported incidents. Members of the team possess an in-depth understanding of products running on production environments and work closely with Engineering and Customer Experience teams to resolve escalated issues, ensuring an excellent client experience.
What you’ll be responsible for:
1. Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems, including shell scripting and DNS management.
2. Investigate and resolve SMTP related errors, mail delivery issues, and SSL/TLS configuration problems.
3. Track and maintain ValueFirst services QOS, backups, uptime, and availability, ensuring high reliability of systems and infrastructure.
4. Work on incident, problem, and service tickets, providing resolutions within defined SLAs.
5. Coordinate with Engineering teams to manage timelines, product releases, and bug tracking using Jira.
6. Perform configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of MySQL databases and other Linux utilities.
7. Automate operational tasks using scripts to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
8. Conduct knowledge transfer (KT) sessions and training on new releases and system enhancements for internal teams.
9. Maintain detailed documentation, FAQs, SOPs, and service documents for operational reference.
10. Continuously monitor system health, mail queues, logs, alerts, and delivery metrics.
11. Oversee preparation of environments for testing and UAT, and actively participate in planning, scheduling, and execution of software releases, including post-release validation and automation.
What you’d have:
* Education: B.Tech / B.E / MCA
* Experience: 2–4 years in a TechOps / Production Support
* Hands-on experience in Linux environments (RHEL/CentOS) with strong shell scripting skills.
* Exposure to mail server environments such as PowerMTA, Postfix (Linux), SmarterMail (Windows), Postal API Server, and related tools (good to have).
* Working knowledge of MySQL/Mongodb (queries, optimization, and basic administration).
* Experience with configuration, monitoring, and automation tools such as Git, Ansible, Jenkins, Site24x7 and Jira.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
* Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and clients.
