Associate - US Accounting

Sikich is seeking an Associate with 1-3 years of experience to join our team, who can

perform core accounting tasks. Additionally, the candidate will also be responsible for fostering relationships with US project leads, assisting the Staff Accountant and Senior Staff Accountant. Experience in US GAAP general accounting is preferable.

Job Responsibilities

• Process cash receipts and maintain A/R subledger
• Process cash disbursements and maintain A/P subledger
• Payroll processing through payroll provider and accounting software,
• Maintain the general ledger.
• Perform monthly close activities.
• Ensure that reports sent to clients are accurate and sent within scheduled timeframes.
• Assist Staff Accountant and Senior Staff Accountant on project deliverables.
• Participate in Training and Development to enhance skill sets.
• A Team Player who works with the guidance of Staff Accountant and Senior Staff Accountant.

Requirements for Successful Candidate

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, master's degree in accounting is a plus.
• Self-motivated with strong work ethics.
• Proactive approach to accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Microsoft GP, Sage Intacct, etc
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possesses a combination of both problem-solving and innovation skills to attend to several technical production challenges.
• Ability to work independently on tasks with some supervision
• Ability to manage multiple engagements, and competing priorities
