Pay Rate: $18-35/hr

Whether you're just starting out or you re an experienced Lead Technician with deep manufacturer knowledge, this is your chance to work on high-end AV integration projects that drive communication, collaboration, and entertainment across Central Texas.

About the Opportunity / What You ll Do
Work on large-scale commercial environments corporate campuses, education, government, hospitality, and tech buildouts installing and supporting professional AV systems.

Depending on your level, you ll:
Pull, dress, and label low-voltage AV cabling (Cat6, speaker cable, control cable, shielded audio cable, etc.)
Install mounting hardware, unistrut, display supports, ceiling infrastructure, and equipment racks
Terminate AV connectors including HDMI, BNC, RCA, Speakon, Phoenix, Euroblock, XLR, and RJ-45
Install and configure commercial AV systems from top manufacturers such as:
o Crestron (control, NVX, digital media)
o Extron (switchers, control, matrix routing)
o Biamp (Tesira DSP)
o QSC (Q-SYS DSP, network audio)
o Shure, Sennheiser, Audio-Technica microphones and wireless systems
o Sony, LG, Samsung commercial displays & projection systems
Rack, stack, and cable AV head-end equipment
Assist with and/or perform DSP loading, control system device deployment, and system commissioning
Install and aim speakers, projectors, screens, video walls, occupancy sensors, and AV-over-IP hardware
Read and follow AV system drawings, risers, signal flow diagrams, and SOW documents
Participate in testing, troubleshooting, tuning, and client turnover processes

Qualifications / Who You Are
(TradeSTAR framework applied for all experience levels)
Level I Helper / Entry Level
0 18 months AV or low-voltage experience
Can pull cable, install support structures, and perform basic terminations with guidance
Familiar with hand tools, lifts, and common construction practices

Level II Technician
2 4 years commercial AV installation experience
Can terminate most connectors, read drawings, and install displays/projectors
Familiarity with at least one control platform (Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, etc.) is a plus

Level III Lead Technician / Senior Tech
4 7+ years AV integration experience
Able to run small to medium crews, coordinate with GC/EC trades, and interpret full AV drawing sets
Proficient with system commissioning, DSP programming (Biamp/Q-SYS), and complex troubleshooting
Experience with multiple major manufacturers preferred

Compensation & Benefits
$18.00 $35.00/hr depending on skill level & manufacturer experience
