A Band 5 audiologist manages a caseload of adult patients seeking hearing assessment and rehabilitation. The postholder at Band 5 holds a degree in audiology but applicants wishing to undertake training to achieve this through apprenticeship will be supported to do so at an appropriate grade dependent on current qualifications held. Applications are therefore welcomed from staff with experience within audiology who may not as yet hold the relevant qualifications to begin at a Band 5 position but a willingness to work towards this.
