Audit&Assurance Team Lead

As we expand our Audit & Assurance vertical, we are hiring an Audit & Assurance Team Lead to own delivery quality, lead engagements, and build a strong audit culture within Finanshels.

Role Description

As Audit & Assurance Team Lead, you will be responsible for planning, executing, reviewing, and delivering external audit engagements while leading and mentoring a growing audit team.

This is a hands-on leadership role—you will set audit strategy, review complex areas, manage client relationships, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across engagements.

You will work closely with founders, finance leaders, and internal delivery teams, bringing clarity, discipline, and practical recommendations—not just audit opinions.

Audit Delivery & Quality

• Lead end-to-end external audit engagements: planning, execution, review, and reporting
• Define audit strategy and risk assessment for each engagement
• Review financial statements, audit working papers, and final deliverables for quality and compliance
• Ensure adherence to IFRS, applicable auditing standards, and internal quality benchmarks

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for audit clients
• Communicate audit findings clearly and professionally to founders, CFOs, and management teams
• Translate audit issues into practical, actionable recommendations

Team Leadership

• Lead, coach, and review the work of Senior Auditors and Associates
• Build strong audit discipline around documentation, timelines, and accountability
• Foster a high-performance, learning-oriented audit culture



Operational Excellence

• Manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously with strict timelines
• Monitor budgets, effort allocation, and delivery efficiency
• Support continuous improvement of audit methodologies, templates, and processes

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in UAE External Audit / Assurance
• Professional qualification: CA / ACCA / CPA (or equivalent)
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS, audit methodology, and risk-based audits
• Experience leading audit teams and reviewing engagement files
• Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and client-facing

Preferred

• Experience auditing SMEs, startups, or fast-growing companies
• Exposure to group audits, consolidation, and internal controls
