Automation Controls Engineer I

The Plexus automation team is to identify, capture, develop, deploy and maintain solutions for the many opportunities throughout the Plexus value stream where innovative process and inspection solutions could have automation technology deployed to improve quality, efficiency and velocity. This role creates, and leverages standardization to lead design, development, analysis, production, and commercialization of innovative technology software and controls solutions to advance Plexus Manufacturing operations. Key Job Accountabilities: - Automation Solution Development - Develop solution for automation opportunities using Plexus standard process, Plexus approved solution providers and/or the global Plexus automation team. Develop Proof of Concept (POC) prototypes for new programs and tooling for additional products to be added to an automated production process.
