Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join a major data centre build in Frankfurt, supporting the design, implementation, and commissioning of automation, controls, and BMS systems within a mission-critical environment.

You’ll work closely with electrical, mechanical, and commissioning teams to ensure the seamless integration and functionality of intelligent building systems across this high-tech facility.

Key Responsibilities


  • Deliver and support automation, SCADA, and BMS systems across all project stages




  • Configure, test, and validate control systems (e.g. PLCs, DDC, Modbus, BACnet)




  • Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and commissioning teams to ensure system performance




  • Review automation and control drawings, I/O schedules, and sequence of operations




  • Conduct FATs/SATs and handover documentation




  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration and network issues




  • Support client during handover and initial operations


    • Candidate Profile


  • 5+ years of experience in automation or controls engineering




  • Strong knowledge of BMS, PLCs, SCADA, or DDC systems (e.g. Siemens, Honeywell, Trend, Schneider)




  • Experience in data centres, pharma, industrial, or building automation projects




  • Familiar with networking, I/O wiring, protocols (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP)




  • Able to read technical drawings, control panel schematics, and wiring diagrams




  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)




  • Valid EU work permit or right to work in Germany
