Overview

The Automation Engineer will primarily focus on automation tasks with occasional electrical engineering responsibilities. This role involves programming, designing, commissioning, and providing support for large power generation systems and associated electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Program PLCs and HMIs.
• Design control panels.
• Design switchgear, MCC, HVAC, VFD, Cable Trays, Station Service, and auxiliary electrical loads.
• Design interconnections and interfaces between various electrical equipment.
• Create BOMs, Cable Schedules, and Operation Manuals.
• Commission equipment at customer sites.
• Perform I/O checks to ensure correct circuit wiring.
• Conduct functional tests.
• Train operators on the function of the equipment.
• Debug and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems.
