Senior Test Engineer (Automation Testing)

IBS invites professionals to work in the development of Next Gen products using latest technologies. IBS is looking for an Automation Tester with following responsibilities and skills. 

Responsibilities: API Automation: • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for GraphQL-based APIs using Java and Maven. • Design and implement reusable test cases for API functionality. • Analyze and report defects and issues with API requests and responses. • Collaborate with development teams to ensure API functionality meets requirements and is thoroughly tested. ➢ UI Automation (preferred) • Design, develop, and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright and TypeScript. • Write effective and reliable test scripts to automate functional, regression, and smoke testing for web applications. • Troubleshoot and debug UI issues, ensuring tests are stable and reusable. • Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure web applications function as expected. ➢ Collaboration & Reporting • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and QA engineers, to ensure quality goals are met. • Provide test results, defect reports, and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. • Participate in code reviews, test planning, and risk analysis for projects. Technical Skills: • Java: Strong experience in developing test automation scripts using Java. • Maven: Hands-on experience with Maven for project dependency management and build automation. • GraphQL API Testing: Practical experience with testing GraphQL APIs using automation tools (Optional). • UI Automation: Proven experience in automating web applications with Playwright and TypeScript. • Test Automation Frameworks: Experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing frameworks. • CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with integrating test automation into Jenkins, GitLab, or similar CI/CD tools. • Version Control: Proficient in using Git for version control. Experience: • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in test automation. • Strong background in both API and UI test automation. • Hands-on experience with automation for both functional and non-functional (., performance) testing. • Experience in writing clear and detailed test cases, defect reports, and test summaries.
