Jacobs is seeking an Automation Specialist Manager to join our team where you'll lead and manage automation teams across the United States, with two primary focuses. You'll assist in managing the workload for the east region as well as growing workload in the west region. This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence, driving strategic growth, and maintaining high standards for SCADA/OT systems within the OMFS business. You'll also be responsible at times to work with local integrators to complete a project which may consist of handing work over to them, monitoring and tracking the company or receiving a hand-off for our team to manage. 

Key Responsibilities 

Leadership & Team Management 

  • Oversee and guide automation specialists across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. 
  • Plan project work and schedule team members to meet deadlines and deliver quality results. 
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members. 
  • Regional Growth & Relationship Building 

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with West Region managers and project managers. 
  • Identify and secure new work opportunities in the West Region. 
  • Collaborate with East Region teams to support completion of scheduled projects. 
  • Strategic Planning & Innovation 

  • Drive initiatives that enhance efficiency and reliability of automation systems. 
  • Ensure alignment with Jacobs’ mission to deliver secure, practical technology solutions for water and wastewater facilities.
  • *This is a hybrid position, working from home and traveling to projects.

    Here's what you'll need
  • 5 plus years in automation, SCADA systems, and OT environments
  • Proven leadership experience managing multi-regional teams and complex projects
  • Expertise in PLC programming, SCADA development, and control system design
  • Experience with networking and industrial cybersecurity
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel across the US 25–50% 
  • Valid driver’s license with no major infractions

    Posted Salary Range: Minimum 102,900.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 180,100.00

    The base salary range for this position is $102,900.00 to $180,100.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
