AV Programmer

Job description

• AV Control System Programming: Develop and implement custom control system programming for audiovisual equipment, including touch panels, control processors, video switchers, audio DSPs, lighting controllers, and other AV devices.
• System Integration: Collaborate with the AV design and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of AV control systems with various components, such as projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, cameras, and other AV peripherals.
• User Interface Design: Create intuitive and user-friendly graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for touch panels and other control devices to enable clients to effortlessly operate complex AV systems.
• Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of AV control systems to identify and resolve programming issues, ensuring system functionality and stability.
• Documentation: Produce comprehensive documentation of AV control system designs, programming logic, and configurations for internal records and client reference.
• Project Support: Provide support to wider project teams during design, installation, integration, and commissioning phases and assist with client / user training on AV system operation.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest AV control technologies, programming languages, and industry trends to enhance the quality and efficiency of our programming solutions.
• Other duties assigned.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Computer Engineering / Multimedia Technology / Audio Engineering or any other relevant field of studies
• Minimum 1 years of experience in relevant Pro AV field.
• Having knowledge and experience in Pro Audio is a bonus.
• Proficiency in programming AV control systems using Q-SYS, Extron, Crestron, and/or other industry-standard control platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for AV control systems using good UX/UI design principles.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve programming issues efficiently.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability in AV control system programming.
• Display positive learning attitude and aptitude.
• A good team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-driven and able to work under stress and independently.
