Security Agent - IAG Cargo

Job Purpose
To ensure the safety and security of air cargo, site personnel, and property by performing access control, cargo screening, and surveillance duties in compliance with Department for Transport (DfT) and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations. As a key member of Mitie's Aviation Security team, the role supports secure, efficient, and compliant cargo operations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
-Carry out screening of cargo using X-ray machines, ETD (Explosive Trace Detection), hand search, and other approved methods in line with CAA regulations and training.
-Control access to the site and cargo handling areas, ensuring only authorised personnel are permitted entry.
-Conduct security checks on vehicles, visitors, and staff in accordance with site procedures.
