Aviation Technical Writer 2

Overview We are seeking an Aviation Technical Writer 2 onsite full- time at Garmin’s U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for creating reader-friendly user guides and installation and maintenance manuals for our Aviation business. Essential Functions Research and collect data to write pilots’ guides, quick reference guides, installation manuals, maintenance manuals, and/or service documents Create electronic documents using word processing and desktop publishing tools Communicate with the Design Engineers regarding product specifications/development Research airframe technical characteristics to accurately document functions and features of specific aviation products Provide software beta testing input for Design Engineers, Program Managers, and Human Factors team Facilitate the rework of mechanical drawings and screen captures Work in a team environment within the Technical Publications area to constantly improve the archival, storag...
