Job Description
We are looking for a highly experienced and process-driven AVP – Facility & Operations to lead our facilities function across all centers. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring operational excellence, health & hygiene standards, cost control, and compliance across all facilities. The role includes overseeing soft and hard services, vendor performance, preventive maintenance, expense tracking, and end-to-end center management. We currently have several ISO-certified centers and aim to make all our spaces 100% ISO-compliant. A strong understanding of process adherence, compliance management (especially air, safety, and statutory regulations), and experience with ISO certification processes will be highly valued. Must be well-versed in using facility management software to drive consistency, automation, and reporting across locations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead all facility operations across DevX centers pan-India, ensuring consistent delivery of top notch services across soft and hard service domains.
- Drive the upkeep, hygiene, and maintenance of all locations—covering housekeeping, MEP, HVAC, security, and overall facility health.
- Implement robust preventive and breakdown maintenance processes to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Oversee vendor sourcing, negotiation, onboarding, and performance tracking across all facility functions.
- Plan and manage annual facility budgets, monthly projections, and cost control across all centers.
- Establish and enforce facility SOPs, audit checklists, and operational benchmarks for service delivery.
- Ensure strict adherence to compliance, statutory, environmental, and safety norms, including air quality, emergency systems, and fire safety.
- Support and drive DevX’s ISO certification journey—currently covering several centers—with a goal of 100% ISO-compliant operations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams during center setup and ensure facility readiness for handover and launch.
- Lead and mentor a team of facility executives/managers while fostering a proactive, ownership-driven culture.
- Drive training and development initiatives for the facility team, ensuring continuous upskilling, SOP adherence, and audit preparedness across all centers.
- Use facility management software to maintain logs, manage workflows, automate checklists, and generate reports.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Facility Management, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
- 15+ years of hands-on facility management experience, including at least 5+ years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience managing multi-location operations in managed offices, co-working, or commercial real estate is preferred.
- Strong understanding of facility systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing), vendor ecosystems, and service contracts.
- Strong grasp of safety standards, statutory regulations, environmental norms, and process driven operations.
- Prior exposure to ISO certification processes is a strong advantage (not mandatory).
- Must have strong experience working with facility management software and digital checklist systems.
- Ability to manage large cross-functional teams and deliver consistently high service standards at scale.
