Key Responsibilities
1. Engineering & Solutioning Excellence
- Drive engineering-led problem solving with a strong focus on DPI (Design, Productivity & Innovation).
- Develop new equipment and asset solutions for existing BOH (Back of House) environments to enhance efficiency, durability, and scalability.
- Design robust industrial and retail construction solutions that:
- Optimize costs
- Introduce alternate and sustainable materials
- Improve aesthetics and lifecycle longevity
2. Capex, Cost & Commercial Ownership
- Own and govern end-to-end Capex planning, control, and optimization.
- Identify and mitigate engineering challenges related to layouts, cost per sq. ft., and material efficiency.
- Support and enable new and experimental formats, including:
- Education-led formats
- Small-format stores
- Transit-location stores (airports, highways, metro stations)
3. Execution & Project Delivery
- Lead pan-India project execution teams, ensuring delivery against timelines, cost, quality, and compliance benchmarks.
- Provide strong construction and fit-out oversight across projects.
- Apply deep working knowledge of:
- Electrical systems
- HVAC
- Kitchen and retail equipment
- Power and energy sources
- Plumbing and pollution control systems
- End-to-end MEP infrastructure
4. Vendor, OEM & Audit Management
- Partner with OEM suppliers, external vendors, and auditors to:
- Customize solutions aligned with DPI requirements
- Ensure best-in-class quality standards
- Achieve optimal commercial outcomes at scale
- Build and sustain strategic, long-term vendor partnerships.
5. Metrics, Governance & Operating Rigor
- Define and implement clear engineering and operating metrics for project and operations teams.
- Establish strong governance frameworks for quality assurance, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and performance tracking.
6. Digital & Future-Ready Thinking
- Champion a digital-first, modern engineering approach across project lifecycles.
- Leverage technology for:
- Project dashboards and MIS
- Cost and timeline optimization
- Asset lifecycle and predictive maintenance
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, materials, and construction practices relevant to large-scale retail and QSR infrastructure.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, develop, and mentor large, geographically distributed teams across India.
- Build strong succession pipelines and second-line leadership.

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Engineering graduate (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical preferred).
- Experience:
- Retail / QSR store rollouts
- Factories, plants, or industrial infrastructure
- Strong exposure to MEP systems and construction fit-outs.
- Engineering-led problem-solving mindset
