Job Description
As AWS Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the AWS infrastructure of our organization. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing,and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our AWS environment meets the performance, security, and compliance requirements of our organization.
Requirements
1. Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure solutions
based on business requirements and best practices.
2. Infrastructure Management: Manage and monitor AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS,
VPC, IAM, Lambda, and others to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
3. Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance standards
(such as HIPAA, GDPR, etc.) in AWS environments. Conduct regular security
assessments and audits to identify and mitigate security risks.
4. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery
strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity in AWS environments.
5. Automation and Scripting: Automate routine tasks using AWS native tools (e.g., AWS
CloudFormation, AWS CLI) or third-party tools to streamline operations and improve
efficiency.
6. Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and resource utilization, and
optimize AWS infrastructure for cost-effectiveness and performance.
7. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve technical issues related
to AWS infrastructure, working closely with support teams and vendors as necessary.
8. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of AWS
infrastructure, configurations, procedures, and best practices.
9. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, network engineers, and security professionals, to support their AWS-related needs and initiatives.
1. Experience: 2+ years of experience in managing AWS infrastructure in a production
environment, with a focus on scalability, security, and high availability.
2. Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator,
or other relevant AWS certifications are preferred.
3. Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation,
etc.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience with VPC, Route 53, VPN,
etc.
• Experience with automation and scripting using tools like AWS CLI, Python, PowerShell,
etc.
• Knowledge of security best practices, encryption methods, and compliance standards in
AWS environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like
Kubernetes is a plus.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively
collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts to non-
technical stakeholders, and document technical solutions and processes.
5. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to
troubleshoot complex issues in AWS environments and implement effective solutions.
6. Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, share
knowledge, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the overall success of the
team and organization.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Additional certifications or relevant work experience may be considered instead of formal
education.
