Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)


Front‑End & UI Development:

Experience building modern web interfaces using React, Angular, and Next.js. Strong understanding of TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), reusable component patterns, state management, UI performance optimization, and integration with backend APIs.

Back‑End & API Development:

Hands‑on development using Node.js, Java (Spring Boot), and Python (Flask/FastAPI). Ability to design and implement RESTful services, GraphQL APIs, and microservice‑based backends. Familiar with caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and API performance tuning.

Content Management Systems (CMS):

Exposure to Drupal, Contentstack, and other headless CMS platforms such as Contentful or Strapi. Capable of integrating CMS-driven content into front‑end or backend workflows.

AWS Cloud Services:

Practical experience with key AWS components including Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, CloudFront, RDS, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, SNS, SQS, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail. Ability to design and deploy scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions.

Containerization & CI/CD:

Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS). Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. Comfortable working with automated build, test, and deployment workflows.

Security & Compliance:

Working knowledge of authentication and authorization patterns such as OAuth2, JWT, and AWS Cognito. Familiar with secret management, encryption using AWS KMS, API security best practices, secure coding guidelines, and DevSecOps principles.

Infrastructure & DevOps:

Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CDK. Capable of automating environment provisioning, managing multi‑environment deployments, and following GitOps‑aligned workflows.

Testing & Automation:

Skilled in writing automated tests across the stack, including unit tests (Vitest, Jest, JUnit, PyTest), integration tests, and end‑to‑end tests (Robot Framework, Cypress, Playwright). Comfortable integrating SonarQube for code quality and static analysis.

Programming Languages:

Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript, along with practical experience using Java, Python, SQL, and shell scripting for application development and automation tasks.

Monitoring & Observability:

Exposure to tools such as CloudWatch, AWS X‑Ray, Grafana, Datadog, and New Relic for application monitoring, log analysis, distributed tracing, and performance tuning.

FinOps & Cost Optimization:

Understanding of AWS cost management tools including Cost Explorer and Budgets. Familiar with cost optimization practices, resource tagging strategies, and identifying opportunities to reduce cloud spend.
