Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure integrated with on-premises Active Directory environments. This role demands strong expertise in hybrid cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, and enterprise identity services. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering secure, highly available, and cost-optimized infrastructure across AWS and on-premises platforms.

Key Responsibilities

AWS Cloud Infrastructure

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS services including EC2, EBS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and AWS Backup .
• Architect secure and resilient network environments using VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, and VPN connectivity .
• Implement governance and automation to optimize cloud usage and control costs.
• Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch and integrated third-party tools .
• Manage AMIs, launch templates, auto scaling, and lifecycle policies for compute resources.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational best practices across AWS environments.

On-Premises Infrastructure

• Administer complex multi-domain Active Directory forests , including replication, trusts, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Manage and troubleshoot DNS zones, records, and conditional forwarding in hybrid environments.
• Configure and maintain DHCP scopes, reservations, and failover configurations.
• Manage DFS namespaces and replication , including performance and issue resolution.
• Perform domain controller health checks, patching, backup, and disaster recovery testing.

Hybrid Integration & Automation

• Design and support hybrid identity and access solutions , including AD Connect, SSO, and federation services.
• Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, AWS CLI, and scripting frameworks .
• Troubleshoot complex hybrid issues related to authentication, directory replication, and network connectivity .
• Partner with security and compliance teams to implement policies, audits, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience .
• Strong expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy .
• Proven experience designing and operating hybrid cloud architectures and identity federation .
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, and/or Bash .
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) .
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure AD, Okta, or other enterprise identity providers .
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices .
• Knowledge of container platforms (Docker, ECS, EKS) and serverless services (Lambda) .
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-platform troubleshooting capabilities.
