Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design, build, and manage scalable data architectures that support analytics, reporting, and advanced data use cases. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in data warehousing, cloud-based data platforms (AWS), and data engineering practices, and will work closely with data engineers, ML engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale data architectures, including data warehouses and data lakehouse solutions.
- Create and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business requirements.
- Lead and support data warehouse modeling, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Develop and review ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient data ingestion and transformation.
- Work extensively with AWS data services such as S3, Athena, Redshift, and Glue.
- Collaborate with data engineers and ML engineers to support model deployment pipelines, data quality checks, monitoring, and data drift detection.
- Ensure data governance, data quality, security, and compliance standards are met.
- Support reporting and analytics use cases by designing data structures optimized for BI and reporting tools.
- Communicate architecture designs, trade-offs, and recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Must Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 12+ years of overall experience in data engineering, data management, or analytics.
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Architect.
- Hands-on experience in designing and modeling data warehouses.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services including S3, Athena, Redshift, and Glue.
- Experience working with modern data architectures, such as data lakehouse.
- Practical experience with ETL and ELT data engineering methodologies.
- Experience collaborating with ML teams on MLOps pipelines, including model deployment, monitoring, and data drift detection.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Should Have / Nice to Have
- Strong understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with BI / reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Quick Sight, Looker, or similar).
- Experience in designing and modeling reporting layers and analytical datasets.
- Exposure to data governance frameworks and metadata management tools.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery models.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
