We’re now seeking a Azure Data Architect for a 6‑month hybrid project in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico.

Location: Remote with some travel to Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico

Duration: 6 months

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 10+ years in data and analytics, with proven experience as a Data Architect on large‑scale projects.
• Strong understanding of data integration, modelling, and architecture principles.
• Hands‑on experience with Data Mesh, data lakes, data warehouses, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Proficiency in Spark, SQL, Python, data ingestion techniques, and metadata management.
• Familiarity with ADF, Databricks, and BI tools.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks, security standards, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
• Must have manufacturing client/industry experience.
• Must speak fluent English and Spanish.
• Must be able to travel. Expenses are paid for non‑local candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement data architecture aligned with the client’s enterprise standards and future‑state vision.
• Develop and maintain logical and physical data models, data flow diagrams, and architecture artifacts.
• Establish data lineage and traceability across systems, ensuring transparency from source to target.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and patterns for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Drive adoption of Azure analytics services (e.g., ADF), Databricks, and BI tools (Power BI, Microsoft BI Suite).
