Job Description :

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend-leaning full stack features for core customer help
• domains.
• Develop and operate backend services and APIs using Node.js/TypeScript and Java
• (Spring/Spring Boot).
• Build service-to-service integrations and workflows that connect to eBay’s internal
• systems and data platforms.
• Partner with product and design to translate requirements into technical designs and
• execution plans.
• Ensure services are scalable, reliable, and observable through strong testing,
• monitoring, and operational practices.
• Build secure and compliant solutions with attention to privacy, auditability, and data
• protection.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and on-call rotations to maintain
• engineering quality and velocity.
• Break down features into well-scoped tasks, proactively identify risks or blockers, and
• deliver work on time.

Required Skills

• 5–8 years of software development experience (or MS + 5) with strong computer science
• fundamentals and distributed systems experience.
• Strong backend engineering experience building services and APIs with
• Node.js/TypeScript and Java (Spring / Spring Boot).
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and service-to-service
• integrations.
• Experience with data modeling and persistence using SQL and/or NoSQL systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native
• development.
• Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and operating production systems reliably.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners in ambiguous or evolving
• problem spaces.
