Snapmint is on a mission of democratising no/low-cost instalment purchases for next 200 Mn Indians. Of the 300 million credit eligible consumers in India, less than 30 Mn actively use credit cards. Snapmint is reinventing credit for the next 200 Mn consumers by providing them freedom to buy what they want and pay for them in instalments without a credit card. In a short period of time Snapmint has reached over a million consumers in 2200 cities and has powered over 2000 crores worth of purchases. Snapmint was started by a closely-knit team of passionate bankers and technocrats from IIT Bombay.


About Role:

As an SDE- II Engineer, you will drive the development of scalable, reliable, and performant systems. You will work closely with product management, front-end engineers, and other cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions while ensuring alignment with the company’s technical and business goals.


Experience: 3-5 Years

Location: Gurugram (Unitech Cyber Park, Sector 39)

Working Arrangement: 5 Days a week (Mon-Fri)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the design and architecture of complex backend systems
  • Identify technical debt and drive long-term engineering improvements
  • Make architecture-level decisions with cross-team impact
  • Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security at scale
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (product, infra, business) to align technical goals
  • Conduct deep design and code reviews, and enforce standards


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience in backend development with a proven track record of leading engineering teams.
  • Strong experience with backend language ie. Node.js
  • Experience working with databases (SQL, NoSQL), caching systems, and RESTful APIs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) or related technical field
  • Hands-on experience designing and scaling backend services and APIs
  • Proven ability to own large systems end-to-end with minimal oversight
