About the Role:
We’re looking for a mid-level Backend Engineer to join our founding team. You’ll own backend systems, APIs, and infra on AWS. You’ll be solving problems across scalability, fraud detection, and real-time data processing — with huge ownership from day one.
Job Details:
Experience: 2-5 Years
Work Schedule: 6 days a week
Location: On-site, South Delhi
Responsibilities:
Design and build scalable APIs and microservices with Node.js/Nest JS (serverless on AWS Lambda)
Architect and maintain secure, high-performance backend systems
Work with large datasets across Postgres, Mongo DB, Redis , and integrate event-driven systems with Kafka
Implement and optimize fraud detection & prevention logic to protect platform integrity
Set up monitoring and alerting systems for reliability, performance, and security
Collaborate with frontend (React Native, Next.js, Reanimated, Redux Toolkit, React Query) to deliver seamless experiences
Ensure compliance with data protection and security best practices
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation
Requirements:
2–4 years of experience in backend roles (consumer or transactional products)
Strong expertise in Node.js/Nest JS and API design (REST/Graph QL)
Hands-on experience deploying to AWS (Lambda, RDS, S3, Cloud Front, infra automation)
Strong working knowledge of Postgres, Redis, Mongo DB in production
Experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems
Understanding of fraud detection algorithms, real-time data processing, and system security (preferred)
Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and system design
Comfortable in a fast-paced startup with ownership of end-to-end delivery
